I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
