In a unexpected crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.

The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Features

Players who finish the mission will receive an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also brings the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
